THE
TRANSFER PROCESS
Our skilled craftsmen begin with your fine art print.
A protective laminate is applied by hand to the surface of the artwork,
then adhered permanently. This
layer safeguards your artwork from the ravaging effects of the environment;
dirt, dust, even the harmful UV rays of sunlight.
Employing a specialized process perfected in our US workshop, we bond
your image to 100% cotton, primed artist’s canvas, replicating the look and
feel of the original painting. This
method can also be applied to a photographic image, also rendering the
appearance of an oil painting.
HAND STRETCHING
Your canvas transfer can be hand-mounted to
corner-joined, artist’s stretcher bars. The
stretched transfer is ready to be framed in your shop, awaiting your personal
expertise. Or, to minimize shipping
costs, we can return your transfer to you simply rolled in a tube.
We have stretcher bars available at competitive prices.
HAND APPLIED BRUSHSTROKES
We retain a number of skilled artisans who can enhance the
look of your canvas transfer by hand applying brushstrokes with artist’s
acrylic medium. This custom process
ensures that your completed canvas transfer closely matches the original
painting and is itself a one-of-a-kind work of art.
CUSTOMIZED TREATMENTS
Your canvas transfer comes with a choice of surface
finishes (gloss and satin matte) and canvas textures (fine, medium and coarse).
Pricing is determined by the united inch (width + height).
Non-stretched transfers have standard margins of 1 ½”, allowing for
stretching in your shop. Standard
stretching fees apply to whole inches; custom stretcher sizes are available at
additional cost. All work is
received and completed at our facility in Smithfield, Rhode Island.
Standard turn-around is 10 business days. We ship via UPS, USPS and FEDEX.
